Eighth North American Workshop on Cataclysmic Variables and Related Systems (Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, February 27-March 1, 1984)
Abstract
The characteristics of cataclysmic variables (CVs) are discussed, summarizing the results of observations and theoretical studies reported at the Eighth North American Workshop on CVs and related systems. Topics examined include the origins of CVs and their relationships to other systems, magnetic CVs, dwarf-nova outbursts and accretion disks, classical novae, and recent X-ray observations by Exosat.
