Exact solution to solitary wave equations of light interacting with two-level atomic systems
Abstract
The exact solution to the solitary wave equation of light interacting with a two level system is found for the case of 1/T(1) unequal to zero and 1/T(2) unequal to zero, and the two necessary conditions for the existence of the solution are derived. One of the conditions is related to the light intensity and the other to the particle intensity. When these conditions are satisfied, the electric oscillation amplitude will propagate in the medium in a given solitary form.
