Nonlinear microwave signal-processing devices using thin ferrimagnetic films
Abstract
An evaluation is made of the signal processing characteristics of SNR enhancers and frequency-selective limiters, including the performance capabilities of several practical devices. Attention is given to the theory of below-threshold operation; new theoretical results are presented for calculations of threshold power and above-threshold power loss. Calculation results are also presented for the limiter's frequency selectivity, and the consequences of linear losses. A multimagnon theory is noted to be required to fully explain much of the behavior observed to date.
