Analytical theory of motion of a satellite of a nonspherical planet.
Abstract
A theory of the artificial satellite motion in the earth's gravitational field is constructed on the basis of a symmetrical intermediate orbit of the generalized two-fixed centres problem including all perturbations mixed with the second zonal harmonics of the geopotential. The series of the theory are obtained using Kaula's inclination functions and Hansen's coefficients. They are suitable for any orbits with the exception of critical inclination and commensurability between the periods of satellite revolution and planetary rotation.
