Asymptotic estimates for symmetric vortex streets
Abstract
A class of steady plane inviscid symmetric vortex-street flows in which the area and the centroid of the vortex core in the variational principle are fixed is investigated analytically. Asymptotic estimates are obtained for such problems as vortex pairs, unidirectional streams, waves and patches, torsion, electrostatic capacity, and connected cores.
