Surface-wave for active planar antenna arrays with phase steering
Abstract
Planar antenna arrays on a layered substrate (dielectric-semiconductor-YIG) which are fed in low-reflection fashion by magnetostatic surface waves were studied. The propagation characteristics of the surface waves and their amplification are discussed, and the feeding of individual and grouped antennas is examined. Possibilities for the technical realization of surface-wave-fed antenna arrays are discussed.
