Reconstructing discontinuities in multidimensional inverse scattering problems: smooth errors vs small errors
Abstract
Constructing parametrices instead of Green's functions to solve integral equations produces a new class of algorithms for nondestructive evaluation. These algorithms allow reconstruction of discontinuities of parameters of the physical medium in two- and three-dimensional problems with variable background and arbitrary source-receiver geometry. An example of such algorithms is presented.
