A plane atmosphere illuminated by parallel rays and consisting of an arbitrary number of homogeneous layers is considered. A method is suggested for the computation of the intensity of radiation for any values of optical depth in a multi-layer atmosphere. As an example, the results are given of the computation of the radiation field in an atmosphere consisting of two layers with different values of anisotropy, optical thickness and single scattering albedo.
