Results of observations made at Ratan-600 with thehigh-sensitivity radiometer at the wavelength 7,6 CM of the region of the galaxy in the interval alpha=17h30m-19h30m, delta=-25.21 -22.20 (1950).
Abstract
A 7.6-cm survey of the field alpha = 17 h 30 m - 19 h 30 m, delta = -(25 deg 30 arcmin - 22 deg 30 arcmin) (1950.0) at longitudes l = 4-10 deg in the Milky Way yields a catalog of 63 radio sources in the giant H II region there, with positions, flux densities, and angular sizes. Forty-four small-size objects have P less than 1 Jy. The radio brightness distribution of the galactic background component is determined; a weak background spans more than 12 deg in latitude b. The weak sources discovered in this survey form a higher-b population within the galactic plane than do the strong galactic sources; they appear to be accompanied by a faint extended radio background.
