The ROSAT XUV wide field camera
Abstract
The XUV Wide Field Camera (WFC) developed for ROSAT to extend the energy range for the sky survey from 0.15 keV down to 0.06 keV is presented. The WFC will perform an all-sky survey in the XUV band, to locate point sources to 1 arcmin, map extended sources and the XUV background, and by use of selected filters, perform broadband photometry. It is hoped to compile an all-sky XUV catalog with from 1000 to 10,000 sources, located to 15 arcsec to 1 arcmin.
