Large eddy simulations of a wall-bounded turbulent jet flow and of homogeneous shear flow
Abstract
A numerical code for solving time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations in three dimensions is used to compute the large-scale fluctuations of a turbulent flow induced by a jet in a cavity and of a homogeneous shear flow. For the code, the large-scale components, numerical resolution of equations, boundary conditions, continuity and pressure, and continuity step are presented. The computational results are compared with experimental ones.
