Theoretical and empirical studies of the basic structure of turbulent shear flows, including separated flows and effects of wall curvature
Abstract
This contract has included work on three related but distinct projects: (1) Separated flows, flow structure in detachment and reattachment zones, and diffuser computation methods; (2) Study of turbulence structure and heat convection in turbulent boundary layers on concave surfaces; and (3) Completion of a data library of complex turbulent flows in machine-readable form for use as input to modeling and for checking computations.
