Loop network system using single-beam TDMA satellite
Abstract
In this paper, a satellite loop network system is proposed and discussed. Differing from usual digital satellite communication systems offering broad-band digital transmission links directly between subscribers, the proposed system offers a TDMA (time division multiple access) channel with signaling bits. Therefore, subscribers in a user group can control on and off timing of their signal transmission on burst mode in the pre-assigned channel after checking the channel conditions of busy or non-busy with these signaling bits supplied from TDMA equipments. Moreover, they can always receive the transmitted signals from each subscriber in the same group in a broadcasting manner. Furthermore, this paper describes a TDMA equipment, a small earth station and a forward error correction (FEC).
