Characterization of high powered laser diodes
Abstract
High power (20 mW) continuous wave laser diodes for space applications were characterized optically and electrically. Static characteristics at constant temperature; near field diagram as a function of total power at 20 C; pass band for weak signals as a function of polarization current at 20 C; spectrum analysis as a function of modulation, and optical power; mode drift and shifts as a function of current and temperature; rate of polarization; and far field were covered.
