Synergisms in hydrogen recycling, session summary
Abstract
Two review presentations and several comments on synergisms in hydrogen recycling are summarized. An analytical formalism for evaluating the steady state plasma-driven hydrogen transport was proposed. The formalism included hydrogen trapping, recombination barriers to release at inner and outer surfaces, diffusion and the effect of thermal gradient. The model was applied to the calculation of tritium inventory and permeation for an INTOR class machine. The sources of synergistic effects in Tokamak devices are also reviewed and related to hydrogen recycling.
