Information content of polarization parameters of radar signals reflected from natural objects
Abstract
A general approach to evaluating the total information content of radar signal polarization parameters is described. A relationship is derived which defines the information content in terms of the absolute value of the polarization coefficient of the reflected wave. The relationship is numerically integrated for different values of the coefficient correlating the orthogonal field components.
