Monofacial and bifacial cells based on solar grade and semicrystalline silicon
Abstract
The behavior of industrially produced bifacial cells using a low cost process and Ni-solder metallization on solar grade silicon is analyzed. Also, bifacial cells have been fabricated using the heat exchange method and cast semi-crystalline material, and their performances are studied. It is concluded that industrially manufactured and semicrystalline H.E.M. bifacial cells can be produced with an efficiency only slightly lower than the best electronic grade silicon bifacial cells.
