Precise positioning using a 4-channel C/A code GPS receiver
Abstract
In this paper the results obtained in design and development of a low-cost 4-channel GPS receiver are presented. The block diagram and brief overview of the operation of the receiver are discussed. Test data, obtained in both static and dynamic conditions, is given. The data include rms noise and the accuracy of the computed position and velocity, as well as two position plots obtained while driving around the Bay of San Francisco and near-by cities. The plots consist of about 3000 position fixes as the result of approximately 6 hours of driving.
