Wave diffraction by a multistep reflecting grating of rectangular profile
Abstract
A solution is presented for the problem of the diffraction of a plane H-polarized electromagnetic wave by gratings with a complex period structure (two- and three-step comb gratings with periodic changes of resonator depth, lamina width, and resonator width). Formulas are obtained which make it possible to calculate the amplitudes of spatial harmonics as a function of the grating geometry, frequency, and wave incidence angle. Algorithms for solving problems of this kind are developed.
