Open resonators with frequency-selective mirrors
Abstract
A method for optimizing the properties of open resonators with frequency-selective mirrors is proposed which is based on a comprehensive analysis of the diffraction characteristics of infinite periodic gratings. A knowledge of the mechanism of grating operation in an open resonator and the availability of efficient numerical algorithms make it possible to solve the problems of the additional rarefaction of the open resonator spectrum.
