An information approach to the evaluation of the performance of millimeter- and submillimeter-wave radio systems
Abstract
A method for analyzing the performance of radio systems is proposed which makes it possible to relate the semantic and structural (statistical) information measures for a sufficiently wide class of radio systems. Analytical expressions are obtained for information estimates of a gain in the probability of a task being accomplished. It is shown that the concepts of adaptation theory provide one of the most promising ways to improve radio systems operating in the millimeter and submillimeter wave bands.
