Infrared and millimeter waves. Volume 12 - Electromagnetic waves in matter. Part 2
Abstract
Among the topics discussed are the mm-wave dielectric properties of materials, low frequency vibrations in long chain molecules and in polymers, as detected by far-IR spectroscopy, and IR magnetooptical spectroscopy in semiconductors and magnetic materials subjected to high, pulsed magnetic fields. Also covered are the spectral thermal IR emission of the terrestrial atmosphere, frequency tuning and efficiency enhancement techniques for high power, far-IR lasers, and the use of a far-IR laser scanner for high voltage cable inspection.
