Nonlinear and turbulent processes in galaxy formation
Abstract
The nonlinear and turbulent processes of the origin of the large-scale cell structure of the Universe are discussed. The theory of the formation of the internal structure of superclusters is analyzed. It is shown that such a theory must include: (1) an analysis of the small initial perturbations, (2) an analysis of the processes by which individual galaxies form, and (3) an analysis of the processes by which systems of galaxies form. It is probable that the formation of rich clusters of galaxies is determined by large-scale initial perturbations which are described on the basis of the general theory of the formation of large-scale structures and reproduced in simple numerical models.
