The Dynamical Parameters of the Universe
Abstract
The simplest Friedmann model (Λ = 0, Ω0 ≅ 0) fits all available data if H0 = 50 km s-1 Mpc-1) and the age of the universe is ≡18×109years, but the model is not established by the data. If H0 ⪆ 60 keeping the age fixed, then Λ > 0 by amounts shown in the diagrams. A review is given of the methods to determine H0, Ω0, and the space-time curvature, with the result that the preferred values are H0 = 50, Ω0 = 0.12, Λ = 0, and K < 0.
