SERES - A polar orbiting satellite system as an extension of Inmarsat
Abstract
The present status of the definition of the Search and Rescue Satellite System (SERES) is addressed. Different possibilities for an orbit configuration are described in detail, and the integration of SERES into the Inmarsat system is discussed. A summary description of the SERES satellite design is given.
