A probabilistic approach to the study of kinetic equations in the theory of rarefied gases
Abstract
The nonlinear Markovian process associated with the Boltzmann equation is investigated. The process is constructed as a solution to a certain stochastic equation. It is demonstrated that the direct Kolmogorov equation for the transition probability of the above solution coincides with the Boltzmann equation.
