Simulation of turbulence models and their applications. Volume 1 - Turbulence and the spectral approach
Abstract
Topics discussed include fundamental equations for turbulent flows, turbulent flows in connection with continuum mechanics, the basis of a spectral approach to turbulence, and a general analysis of the rapid distortion of turbulence. Consideration is also given to aspects of the nonlinear problem in homogeneous distorted turbulence, the spectral analysis of linear effects in inhomogeneous turbulence (with an application to channel flow), extensions of Craya's equation, ordered structures and large eddy simulations, and turbulence and chemical reactions.
