Four phase model for turbulent instabilities calculation in plasma jets
Abstract
A two phase theory which describes the plasma compression, pinch and decay phase for the plasma generator POSEIDON in the range 280 kJ, 60 kV is presented. The REDUCE/FORTRAN hybricode calculation was made. This shows neutron production in the pinch phase. For dynamic calculation of the plasma jet, a four phase theory was derived to cope with macro and microturbulence. The results of both calculations were compared to experimental observations on POSEIDON.
