The use of an acoustic measurement method to study the flow separation of Karman eddies at a cylinder in a transverse flow
Abstract
Experimental efforts to develop measurement methods which provide more information on the unsteady flow fields than previous methods are reported. These experiments involved measurement of transverse flow against a circular cylinder. The experimental procedure is described and the results are given, including the low-frequency spectrum obtained by amplitude demodulation, directly measured pressure variations, and determination of the cross power spectrum.
