Earth terminal cost model for private satellite networks
Abstract
Ground segment cost is a key element in determining the economic feasibility of any satellite system. Private satellite networks can provide a cost-effective alternative to services already available through commercial networks. This paper focuses on the cost models and trade-offs involved in the optimization of earth terminals with antenna sizes between 3 and 8 meters, operating in the 4/6 and 11/14 GHz bands.
