High power components and subsystems for satellite earth stations
Abstract
This paper describes recent developments in the area of high power components for satellite earth stations. It specifically includes the advances made in the area of contiguous-band combining networks; variable power combiners and couplers; co-polarized antenna diplexers; planar ferrite components and high power loads. Performance data on these components should help in upgrading the satellite earth stations in the 6, 8 and 14 GHz frequency bands.
