Network management and control system of the TCTS satellite DMA trial
Abstract
A communications satellite network using Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) technique can be enhanced with a highly capable and flexible Network Management and Control System (NMCS) to provide users with responsive and effective methods of managing their private business traffic. In addition, an NMCS can provide the operating company with the capability to centrally manage and control the overall network configurations as well as to monitor the performance and status of the network. This paper provides a system overview of the NMCS which is being used for the TCTS Satellite TDMA Trial. Also, it describes the features and capabilities required for TCTS and trial customers to effectively operate, control and maintain the TDMA Trial network.
