Using discharges in chlorine for the gasification of metal atoms
Abstract
The possibility of using plasmochemical processes, produced by a high-frequency discharge in chlorine, for the gasification of metal atoms is investigated experimentally. The metals studied are Cu, Ni, Cr, Ti, Al, Ta, Be, Nb, Mo, Sn, Pb, and Fe. It is shown that the use of a chlorine plasma is a sufficiently effective method for the low-temperature gasification of metal atoms, a method that can be useful in laser technology.
