The Landau level distribution of electrons moving at velocities exceeding that of light in the medium
Abstract
The time evolution of a beam over orbital energy levels is studied theoretically on the basis of probability estimates for the transfer of electrons along Landau levels at the expense of their emission in regions of anomalous and normal Doppler effects. The case of spin-flip emission is also considered. It is shown through a series of calculations that in the case of anomalous Doppler emission, population inversion of the spin-energy levels may be possible.
