Two-dimensional flows of a nonviscous gas in three-dimensional ducts
Abstract
A method is proposed for constructing three-dimensional ducts representing 'cutouts' along the surface flow lines from steady flows of a nonviscous gas in two-dimensional (plane and axisymmetric) nozzles with an arbitrary contour shape of the nozzle exit section. Such supersonic nozzles can be used in special gasdynamic experiments. Methods for manufacturing such three-dimensional ducts are briefly discussed.
