Application of the method of two-cycle integration to the study of the evolution of the motion of a 12-hour satellite
Abstract
A theoretical study is made of the motion evolution of a 12-hour satellite in the case when the zonal and tesseral harmonics of the geopotential expansion are taken as the disturbing factors. The study is based on numerical integration by the two-cycle method for a period of 340 revolutions of the satellite. Secular variations of the node, perigee, and eccentricity of the orbit are determined from the integration.
