Internal peak of heat-transfer coefficient for a plate washed by a normal jet
Abstract
Heat transfer in a circular laminar jet that impinges normally on a planar surface is investigated by means of numerical methods. The calculations indicate that, near the stagnation point, the velocity component normal to the chamber floor at the outer edge of the wall boundary layer is comparable to the longitudinal velocity component.
