Quasi-simultaneous calculation of strongly interacting viscous flow
Abstract
The VISIAN analysis system for viscous-inviscid strong interaction is presented. The code is based on a quasi-simultaneous solution procedure for viscous and inviscid parts of the flow field. The viscous region is calculated with an extension of the classical boundary layer equations, featuring effects of normal pressure gradients and wake curvature. Results for separated laminar and turbulent flow past lifting Joukovsky airfoils are shown.
