Problems related to echo cancellation in digital telephone transmissions

Echo cancellation techniques application to two-wire digital telephone communication is discussed. The model described includes an adaptive transverse filter, a correlation algorithm, and a stochastic iterative algorithm. The criteria for parameter choice are examined. It is shown that this choice influences the convergence rate of the algorithm.
