Further results from application of the isobasis design technique of disturbance minimizing control to a linear, time-invariant second-order state set-point regulator with time-varying external disturbance
Abstract
Further results on the application of the isobasis design technique of disturbance minimization control to a linear, time-invariant state set-point regulator with time-varying external disturbance inputs are presented. A second-order plant is used as an example. The performance of a disturbance minimizing controller designed using the isobasis technique is presented and is compared to results obtained from a controller designed under the assumption that the external disturbance is constant and to results when no disturbance minimizing control is used. Examples of the utility of time-varying external disturbances are presented in the Appendix.
