Finding the roots of the transcendental equations in problems in determining the thermal conductivity of spheres with heterogeneous boundary conditions
Abstract
The mathematics by which quite simple and effective approximate and accurate equations for finding any of the roots of the characteristic equation for calculating the thermal fields in spherical bodies heated by direct flow or counterflow is presented. Examples of the use of the equations are given. They will also make it easier to determine the thermal and physical properties of substances.
