Error evaluation in measurements with thermoluminescent dosimeters
Abstract
Error sources connected with measurements with thermoluminescent dosimeters (LIF TLD-100) are analyzed. Sources such as feeding, environmental situations, and transport, do not have significant statistical influence. Readout calibration, annealing, and direction dependence can be minimized. Most of the random errors included in the data calibration fitting are relevant and cannot be eliminated. These include background variability, nonreproducibility of disks, and irradiation conditions.
