Automatic liquid-metal temperature monitoring with the use of immersed transducers
Abstract
A procedure for building up a system for the digital monitoring of liquid metal temperature is considered. The system, based on the use of immersed thermoelectric transducers, has been introduced in a converter shop and is in successful use for monitoring steel temperature in the vessel on turndown and in the ladle during treatment with inert gas and hot metal temperature during converter charging.
