Turbulent flows of surfacant solutions
Abstract
Velocity profiles and turbulence intensity in surfactant solutions were measured. Occurrence of turbulent energy and dissipation of averaged motion energy were calculated. The influence of electrolytes and temperature on reduction in hydrodynamic resistance was investigated. Results show that micelle-forming surfactants can be used to control liquid turbulent transfer processes.
