Laser ignition of explosives
Abstract
Laser ignition of thermal explosions, laser ignition of detonation, and laser sensitivity analysis are reviewed. The theory of thermal explosion is outlined. Methods for the understanding of the ignition process are described, e.g., laser induced fluorescence and the determination of intermediate molecules arising in flames, Raman spectroscopy coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering spectroscopy, and laser pyrolysis are considered.
