Determination of the pressure sensitivity of 1 inch condenser microphones
Abstract
A procedure for the determination of the pressure sensitivity of 1 inch condenser microphones was developed. As factors which influence operating of microphones polarization, voltage, transmission voltage, air pressure, temperature and humidity are considered, a method for measurement of the electrical transfer impedance is given. The acoustic transfer impedance of the coupler system is calculated and presented as a function of frequency. An example of the calculation of the pressure sensitivity from the acoustic impedance of a microphone is given.
