Digital radio link: Wave propagation measurements using narrow band technique
Abstract
Measurements on a 34 M Bit, 7 GHz digital radio link with a linkhop of 56 km are described. Events with flat and frequency selective fading are presented and a method using narrow band measurements to evaluate frequency selective fading is outlined. By making narrow band (125 kHz) measurements on 3 frequencies (-10, 0, +10 MHz, relevant to a center frequency of 70 MHz), the parameters for a 2-way model of wave propagation were evaluated in terms of delay and amplitude.
