Energy storage capacitors. Lecture 4: Appendix
Abstract
The capacitor properties are reviewed which, includes dielectrics, induced polarization, and permanent polarization. Capacitance characteristics are discussed and modelled. These include temperature range, voltage, equivalent series resistance, capacitive reactance, impedance, dissipation factor, humidity and frequency effects, storage temperature and time, and lifetime. Applications of energy storage capacitors are discussed.
