Ground penetrating radar: A review of its application in the mining industry, information circular 1984
Abstract
The Bureau of Mines, as part of its Health and Safety Technology Program, is conducting research on the use of ground penetrating radar (GPR) for mine hazard detection. GPR offers a possibility of mapping immediate below-surface geologic conditions, including faulting and other anomalies, thereby exposing potential safety hazards to miners.
