Oscillations of a reservoir with a fluid on the free surface of which a membrane is located
Abstract
Large capacity reservoirs require analysis of the possible resonance excitation of wave motions of the liquid by wind or seismic pulsed loads. Oscillations of a rigid reservoir positioned on an elastic base and containing a perfect, incompressible liquid were considered. The free surface of the liquid was limited with a special membrane. Differential equations were employed to investigate the dynamic characteristics of this system.
